DESCRIPTION:

The Yorkshire Terrier is a long haired toy terrier whose blue and tan coat is parted on the face and from the base of the neck to the end of the tail and hangs evenly and quite straight down each side of the body.They area small and a well balanced breed,having a square proportions.They have naturally erect ears, a black nose, and a flat small skull. The puppies are born black and tan on the eyebrow, jaws, chest and feet. They are fully mature in 24 months. the yorkie is one of the worlds smallest dogs, they should not wt. more than 7 lbs. They may be tiny, but they believe themselves to be as big as any big dog. The Yorkie is sweet in nature and cheerful in character. a very intelligent and very confident pet. They are also spirited, spunky, affectionate, lively, courageous and assertive. Although small, THEY ARE STILL TERRIERS! . They get along with everyone, but they may get nippy if not trained or socialized correctly..

TEMPERAMENT:

THEY ARE INTELLIGENT, CONFIDENT, AND AFFECTIONATE. LIVELY AND SPIRITED, THEY ARE NOT A WIMP. THEY ARE BRAVE LITTLE DOGS AND VERY SELF ASSURED WITH THETYPICAL TERRIER ATTITUDE. THEY ARE DEVOTED,ASSERTIVE, AND COURAGEOUS. AT TIMES THEY CAN BE VERY DEMANDING AND NIPPY IF NOT CORRECTLY SOCIALIZED OR TRAINED.

WITH CHILDREN:

YES, BUT WITH OLDER CHILDREN AS THEIR BONES ARE TO FAGILE FOR ANY ROUGH PLAYING.

WITH OTHER PETS:

YES, THEY SHOULD BE EVEN TEMPERED AND CO EXIST PEACEFUL WITH OTHER BREEDS.
